Monday,  9 December 2024 – Day 20 of Yuletide

“The 20th  day of the Yule celebration at the southern camps, I was awakened by the 04:30 trumpet call and the sound of jackassery below, from the sound the guards thought someone had tried to shoot up the camp.

This drunk fellow, they called him Stewart, was drunkenly singing 100 Bottles of Scotch on the wall… packing around his favorite M4 Grenade launcher.  He hadn’t shot anything, but the centurians weren't happy. I ignored him and went on to breakfast with Loki.

I asked Loki about Stewart.  He laughed and told me that he was some kind of Scottish immortal who likes to drink too much. I asked if he was Fae.  Loki shrugged and said that he wasn’t sure that Stewart even knew.  I was assured that he is a fun guy to be around, but he wasn’t much of a reader.  He preferred to sing.  Specifically sing about whiskey.  He went on to tell me that if I had stayed to watch, I’d have probably seen him pop open a grenade and drink it like a double.  Apparently that weapon is blessed.  Imagine that…. A Blessed Weapon at a camp filled with gods and godlings.

After eating breakfast I spent the rest of the day exploring Camp Gaul.  I found the battle ground and joined a pickup game of War.  They play it differently at Gaul, but it is still the same basic game.

After the game I went to the strip club for a steak.  While I was there I met a cute chick who invited me to a private wine tasting in her room.

I’ll leave the rest to your imagination.  A refreshing shower and some excellent wine made for a good evening.

I’m about to pass out.  This is Allie le fae reporting, drunk on wine and Ginger.  Peace.
